Get to know the changemakers of tourism’s sustainable future! In the online respect_NFI conversation cycle we will embark on a journey around the world and feature outstanding tourism professionals who are putting their visions and ideas for a fair and sustainable tourism into practice.
Our second stop is Bosnia-Herzegovina. We visit the “Srebrenica – City of Hope” project – sustainable tourism aims to overcome the trenches of war and create new prospects for the population. The project was initiated by Irvin Mujčić from the Bosnian Naturefriends (Priratelji Prirode – Oaza Mira) – the Naturefriends in Italy (GIAN) and the Netherlands (NIVON) are actively supporting the project.
We speak with Irvin Mujčić (Priratelji Prirode – Oaza Mira), Christian Facchetti (Naturefriends Italy GIAN) and Fonger Huisman (Naturefriends Netherlands NIVON) about the ideas behind the project, its implementation, Europe-wide cooperation, initial successes – and what is planned for the future.
